Backflow installation and maintenance

Cities and towns (water purveyors) require their end users to do their part to protect the quality of the portable water supply. A real threat to the overall potability is an irrigation system. Irrigation systems are generally directly connected to potable water sources and pose a high hazard due to the common use of fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals. To protect against this exposure, water purveyors require backflow protection. For irrigation systems, this protection is achieved with the use of a reduced pressure principle zone (RP) backflow device.

Manufacturers of RP backflow devices require their backflow assemblies to be rebuilt every 3 to 5 years and some cities and towns require annual inspection and testing of the same. We are trained and certified by the City of Durham and Raleigh to install, inspect, and test backflow devices in accordance with established guidelines. In the State of NC, a contractor must receive specialized training and be certified to install and test RP backflow devices.
